Join us to celebrate the warmth and abundance of summer for our Bealtaine Retreat, a wonderful weekend of movement, creativity, nature, detox and relaxation.
In the spectacular surroundings of the Avondale Retreat Centre, in the green hills of Wicklow, you will find peace and deep relaxation. Practice and explore Yoga and Meditation with Aoife, eat delicious Vegan food, and even learn how to cook some of Selena’s amazing recipes at the Vegan Cooking workshop.
The Celtic festival of Bealtaine marks the beginning of summer, when animals went out to the summer pastures. The traditional bonfire was deemed to have magical powers, which would protect livestock and people from all harm. At our Bealtaine weekend we will celebrate abundance and growth with yoga, feasts and gratitude!
You will also have free time to rest, wander the surrounding woods and gardens, take time for yourself and even detox in the infrared sauna!
Ahimsa Yoga Ireland – Ahimsa is the first principle of Yoga and it means gentle, non-harming. Ahimsa embodies Aoife’s approach to sharing Yoga, through a unique blend of movement, stillness, meditation, breath and chant, she gently encourages you to listen to your body, quiet the mind and open the heart. On this weekend she will guide you through mindful dynamic Yang Yoga and meditations in the mornings, and gentle slow Yin Yoga, meditations and Yoga Nidra relaxations in the evenings.
Selena is the creator of Wild Sage Bakery, a home bakery which specialises in making healthy vegan cakes and treats. Before Wild Sage, she was running a series of pop up restaurant events around Dublin city as Roots+ Sage. Her love for culinary, plant-based alchemy grew during five years which she spent living, travelling and learning abroad. Her passion is creating food which is nourishing for the body, mind, soul and earth.
