When there is space inside, we can live a more connected life; a life where we can have a richer experience of ourselves and all that surrounds us.
This weekend will be an opportunity to explore elements of the practice that are more than Asana. There will be plenty of Asana but I would love to share the practices that resonate with me when I stay in Mandala Ashram in Wales….Mouna (silence), Mantra, Pranayama. These practices are powerful resources that make us more resilient and just make living in this world easier (in my experience!). This can all be done lightly, in a spirit of joyful inquiry, to see what resonates with you, to explore what might support you in creating space for yourself every day. This is a rich experience of Yoga and I am looking forward to sharing it.
There will be time for personal reflection, doing nothing, connecting with Nature and those who are interested can join me for a walk in the woods (weather permitting). Uta Kaiser will be available for massage treatments. Uta is a yoga teacher and a gifted body worker; she will provide Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi or intuitive massage.
This retreat is open to practitioners with some yoga experience, if you have any questions I’d love to hear from you.
Friday 28th Sept (arrive any time from 4pm) – Sunday 30th Sept (leave approx 3pm)
Our food will be prepared by Cian Waters. Cian is a resident chef at the Fumbally Cafe and has travelled to India & Nepal, witnessing and practicing the art of cooking as a spiritual discipline, with the potential to nourish the body, calm the mind and create balance within. Back in Ireland Cian takes all that he has learnt abroad and applies it to all the lovely ingredients we have in Ireland, it’s a real treat to have him as part of our team on this weekend. All meals will be vegetarian and we can cater for dairy and gluten free where necessary.
